Your story makes a difference

In June 2022, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, ending the federal constitutional right to abortion in the United States.

The overturning of Roe v. Wade was just another move in the decades long attack on people having access to safe and legal abortions. The decision to take away the constitutional right to abortion after nearly 50 years of precedent is not just life-altering for millions, but life-threatening too.

More than 36 million people of reproductive age in more than half the states across the US will no longer have access to abortion in the very near future. The power to make their own medical decisions and determine their futures was taken away.

This ruling significantly harms Black, Latino, Indigenous, AAPI and other people of color — communities for whom systemic racism has long blocked equitable access to essential health care.

In this critical time, we must come together to protect the essential human right to reproductive freedom. Now is the time to stand up and use your voice. Your voice has power.

The My Body, My Voice storytelling project amplifies people’s stories in the fight for equity and reproductive freedom.

We are building an archive of stories about reproductive rights and freedom. Whether your story is about abortion, birth control, your family, your experiences, or your rights - tell us why the right to reproductive freedom matters to you.
